A House of a Different Color

We picked our house colors today!

The lighter sage greenish color on the left is the main color of the house. It's called, appropriately enough, "That Green".

The darker green is the trim color. It's festively named "Soiree".

The cranberry color is the color of our door. Its surprising moniker is "Bull Shot". (Bullsh*t, you say!) I never in a million years thought I'd have to choose the color of a door. Who knew!

The decision-making process was far easier than we expected. We spent some time Saturday driving around our new neighborhood, checking out which colors looked good. Because of the Homeowners' Association, wild and crazy colors are a no-no. So no turquoise or hot pink for the Schwartz House! Many of the neighbors have chosen sand or light tan, desert-friendly colors. I was quite fond of the cappuccino shades. But we both liked the green colors. Here's hoping it doesn't come out looking too "minty". We saw a couple homes with this color palette and they looked pretty sharp!

Can't wait to see what the house looks like once it's painted!
